And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
And Jesus answered and said to them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and you shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness to all nations; and then shall the end come.
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso reads, let him understand:)
Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
But pray that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say to you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.[1]
Truly the Lord is ever present in the Holy Church, and truly the wisdom of man is foolish. Never-the-less, there are some interesting things which have occurred of late, the drying of the Euphrates, the wars and rumors of wars, the tragedies and the sickness of modernism that cause us to look into things with our rational mind. If not taken too far, and if it reminds us to keep watch, it is something we can be mindful of as the Lord Himself called us to watch for signs and rebuked those who did not.
We are in the year 7531 since Adam according to the Byzantine, LXX calendar. In terms of the Petrine letter Pei, the 17th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet, 7531 = 17×443. This new year of 7531 began in September Old Calendar.
Directly 443 in Hebrew would be the addition of three letters; Tav, the sign of the cross being 400, plus Mem, Water as in Baptism being 40, plus Giml which is three and for Christians the Holy Trinity and in Hebrew the Camel that carries water. We Christians are baptized with the sign of the Cross, we are baptized in running water and we are baptized in the NAME of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Trinity One God in Essence undivided. We carry the one baptism for the remission of sins through our lifetime in this world that is for us, a desert.
This may be the year of the great sign of the Cross. With an illumination of conscience, “and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn”, those who have a spiritual disposition will flock to Baptism after the sign of the Cross appears. For believers, the Scriptures will be fulfilled, and for non-believers, they will rationalize an Einstein cross[2] away with the illumination of conscience that causes mourning; repentance. The “educated” will have the seed stolen away, rationalized away owing to the stress of these times, pride and an inner rejection of Christ and of the Way of the Cross, but those of us who believe must hold onto love and carry our Crosses and our baptismal promise through the desert of this life.
Until Pascha 2023, we are 1989 years or 153 x 13 years from the first mystical supper (33 AD+1989=2022 AD). Recalling the great catch of fish in the Gospel of Saint John, that in the Rosary there are 153 Hail Mary prayers, and that 153=17+16+15+…+3+2+1 and that there were 13 at the first mystical supper, the twelve disciples and Jesus making 13. There are reasons to believe the sign may appear in this watchful year. This may be the last year for certain graces given the wickedness manifest in the world today, with the great falling away.
Even in the West, Saints appear on their Old Calendar dates, for the foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of men. For example at Fatima, the miracle of the Sun occurred on October 13 New Calendar, October 1 Old Calendar, the feast of the Protection of the Mother of God.
In this time, the deviation between the Old Calendar and the New is still 13 days, so Orthodox Pascha in 2023 will occur on old calendar April 3rd (April 16 new calendar) which corresponds to the Passover date in 33 AD when Christ was crucified. (Western Easter is April 9th new calendar, March 27th Old Calendar corresponding to the 31 AD Passover the year Jesus said to Mary, “Oh woman what have you to do with me, my time has not yet come.”)
So with respect to the unhappy event of the Pachamama Vatican idolatry, it will be three and a half years from October 2019, and as in accordance with the Prophet Daniel with such an abomination, we did not go to Church in Pascha 2020. Three and half years corresponds to 42 months. From this reader’s perspective, the world has had a great dress rehearsal for the foretold end, and most people missed it completely and most Churchmen as well.
Perhaps the sign of the Holy Cross in the sky will not come yet, but certainly things are happening now which are extraordinary.
This is something to be prayed for, for we see all around us a great falling away, and a great pagan belief in wicked and deceptive “science” which is falsely so-called.[3]
Let us be found keeping the faith in purity and love, laying in store a good foundation against the time to come so we may lay hold on eternal life.
