It has been shown that the modern scientific world is delusional. https://andrewhollandweb.org/2022/09/12/origin-and-the-paucity-of-events/
It’s delusion is driven by the desires of people for fame, money, power and ease. It is deceived as we the people in it are deceived. Rarely light shines in the darkness, but when it does it is most beautiful as it is highlighted by darkness. From a Christian perspective, the most wonderful, good person in human history, Jesus Christ, was crucified because He healed on the Sabbath, He taught gentleness, meekness, kindness and love. And He is Risen! Not just in an abstract sense – He arose from the dead and ascended to the right hand of the Father the Almighty.
That is what Christians believe and have reason to believe. But the yarns told by “scientists” are becoming more silly, more unscientific, and more unsupportable by the day. They cry on their mountains of cash, or on their lecterns, but what are those things to eternity?
Most people don’t want to accept that Jesus is God and Lord and Savior. As such, people separate politics, science, art, life from “religion.” According to the Bible, delusion is not the state the Jesus wishes us to continue in.[1] It was not the Father’s desire for mankind to live in imagination or error.
Evidence of the world’s delusion is its works. Globally there have been over 1.5 billion abortions of little babies since 1980. The people who did this believed they were doing “good.” They believed they were offering an alternative to an even more cruel fate. But what fate is more cruel than to be crushed, dismembered, starved or dissolved slowly in agony in abortion? Those who did these things may be “nice” people, but having gone the way of delusion and error, minds become corrupt, and people follow the broad path to hell in darkness. In delusion, in lies people are led into murder. And these delusions and lies begin with lies we tell about ourselves. We say to ourselves we are good, when in fact we have many sins and transgressions. We might pretend we are saved because we believe in Jesus, but Jesus said;
Not everyone that says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him to a wise man, which built his house upon a rock[2]: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
And everyone that heareth these sayings of mine, and does them not, shall be likened to a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand[3]: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
The true Rock is of Peter and is the Rock of repentance. Peter wept every day he heard the cock crow in the morning. Every day we Christians must repent of our sins. It is not by our works in so doing that we merit anything but belief in the Holy Gospels that call us first and foremost to repentance. If one vainly imagines they have arrived, Orthodox would say in general, they have not yet begun!
Only in tears do we become blind to the sins of others and sighted to our own sins. Only in tears do we clear the log in our own eyes so that seeing our repentance, others might clear the speck in their eyes. This is the way of Orthodoxy and true religion, and there is no other way than to believe on Christ, to follow His ways and His words with precision in love.
Now tears can be shed for our own sins, and tears can be shed when we see injustice done upon others. Both of these tears come from the same heart, the same Holy Spirit and the same Love.
But in false religion we form patterns of “them and us” when God in His Love and beauty made us all one family. We have a mother and father in Eve and Adam. We have a common family in eight people saved on a boat during the great deluge.[4] Every human being is a miracle. Our enemies are miracles and we are called to bless them, not curse. And in an age of lawlessness, this becomes difficult but all the more essential. Of all heresy we must repent, and we must admit, especially in modern times, of many heresies we personally hold or were taught and tend to believe against the plain truth of the Scripture.
Blessing often takes unusual forms. Saint John the Baptist greatly blessed Herod, by calling him out for his sin and calling him to repentance. Saint John the Baptist did not hate Herod. He did not hate Salome who had him killed. He did not wish to see those people destroyed, but in lust for power and sinfulness, they destroyed themselves. God blesses us with His silence. He blesses us calling us to repentance in the Holy Gospel that is very explicit about what sin is and how to get rid of it.
Again, the nations are destroyed in delusion[5]. Today sexual immorality in the west is so bad children are groomed for sex “transition” in the schools. “Physicians” are performing hysterectomies on young girls. American school boards allow and promote drag queens to visit elementary schools. Athletic associations encourage children to “transition” before the age of twelve to compete in sports. Many of the voters in the west who brought this incredible wicked evil on children and grandchildren are western “catholic” or “orthodox” “Christians.” And no one says anything to them. They believe they are doing “good.” And this wicked belief is rooted in scientific material atheism.
All of us Christians are to blame, for if we truly loved and believed the Truth who is Jesus Christ as we should, the world would be better;
Moreover, if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it to the church: but if he neglects to hear the church, let him be to thee as a heathen man and a publican. Verily I say to you, What-so-ever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.[6]
To escape delusion requires faith in Jesus Christ, in the Holy Church, in the Holy Scriptures, in self-examination, and with self-reproach in repentance. It requires coming to the light and having the antiseptic of Jesus clean the muck and mire out of the heart and mind. And this is a continual process. It is not one and done.
If someone promotes drag queens coming to elementary school, or having a government pay a price for each crushed baby’s head delivered to its “scientists”, what have they to do with Jesus Christ?
If we want someone to repent, one way is to mourn for them, and another is to dance. The mourners weep at sins, and this Orthodox way converts the sinners by making it clear that one is destroying oneself. The western way converts sinners through dancing, playing on the instruments of charity. In such kindness, people see that they are loved. If we neither sing and mourn, pipe and play, how are we children of God?
Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frames mischief by a law? They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood. But the LORD is my defense; and my God is the rock of my refuge. And He shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yes, the LORD our God shall cut them off.[7]
One must love the truth to find the truth and that means digging deep into the pits of ones’ own passions and sins. One must trust Jesus to seek and find and when finding realize that the greatest sinner is oneself; “the unclear and hidden things of thy wisdom you have made clear to me.”[8] We cannot clear the eye of our friend with his speck, until we have acquired tears to remove the log in our own. For the speck in our eye is a log to us, and in clearing by tears one clears without poking.
Our enemies whoever they are, are delusional. They don’t mean to do evil. They actually think they are doing “good.” Most think they are “loving” and “kind.” Adolf Hitler, a strict vegetarian, didn’t want lobsters broiled alive because he thought it cruel. Himmler commanded SS guards patrolling concentration camp fences to wear small bells on their trousers to warn little rabbits because they found that the guards were accidentally stepping on them. These men were vicious and cruel to their enemies, but that was not their intrinsic nature. It only perhaps became sealed as their nature at their deaths. Until the moment of death, they could have repented and turned to the simplicity of kind love.
People are not evil intrinsically. People are misled and delusional. There is a huge difference between intrinsically led and deceived people, versus people that one judges as evil in of themselves. When we judge others, on some level, we are judging ourselves. Therefore, the only person a Christian can adversely judge is himself. And it is rare and difficult to attain to a level of penance necessary to see others clearly.
We must always keep in mind that our enemies are delusional, and we must keep in our hearts the prayer, “forgive them Father, they know not what they do.” For we know not what we do either.
We don’t do the will of the Father. If we did, we could move mountains and walk on water. Why do people pretend they are spiritual when in fact they are carnal? We can, however, see clearly the truth of Scripture and Church if we have faith and have somewhat started on the road of repentance:
These things I command you, that you love one another. If the world hates you, you know that it hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
Remember the word that I said to you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do to you for my name’s sake because they know not Him that sent me.
If I had not come and spoken to them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin. He that hates me hates my Father also. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.[9]
But this comes to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause. But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of Truth, which proceeds from the Father, He shall testify of me: And you also shall bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.
These things have I spoken to you, that you should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yes, the time comes, that whosoever kills you will think that he does God service.
And these things will they do to you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.[10]
Those in delusion believe they do good when they do evil “: yes, the time comes, that whosoever kills you will think that he does God service.”Therefore it is imperative to remember:
But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if you love them which love you, what reward have you? do not even the publicans the same? And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be you therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.[11]

[3] The sand of temporal time, of Chronological time – the sand of human reason.
[4] Yes Noah’s flood happened and there is a great deal of real scientific material evidence it in fact occurred.
[5] Isaiah 14:12-20 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house. But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcass trodden under feet.
[6] Matthew 18:15-18 The Western Pope is a manifest heretic along with many Patriarchs and Bishops in the East. It seems hardly worth the time to bother however, Matthew 23:1-39 – let them deal on their own level.
[7] Psalm 93/94:20-23
[8] Psalm 50/51:6 “Behold, thou desires truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.” The more we know, the more we know we sin and have no excuse, for our heart is filled with passions.
[9] Atheists and agnostics will complain that they have not seen the works Jesus has done. Some of them are well versed in Scriptures. But one must ask with all due respect, how hard did they approach repentance if they approached repentance at all? ‘Seek and you will find’ is a guarantee predicated on some level of obedience to the call to repent. If tears have not, at least on some occasion, cleansed ones’ own eyes so that one sees ones’ sins so that humility gains a foothold, then ones’ sin remains in that one judges others – the fallen human condition. This is where atheists and agnostics tend to live when you listen to them – in the land of judging others and not themselves. If you want to repent, put your money where your repentance is.
